Welcome fellow classmates of Meadowdale High School and those of you who grew up in Dayton, Ohio
to the Meadowdale High School Alumni / Dayton Nostalgia Website.
This website began in October of 2006 and was originally created to announce the 30 Year Reunion of
Meadowdale High School's Class of 1977 (thus the site's web address - www.mhs77.com). The 30 Year
Reunion took place in June of 2007. Both before and after the reunion the site not only generated
interest from Meadowdale's Class of '77, but was viewed by Meadowdale Alumni from other classes as
well.
Shortly after the reunion several requests were made by Meadowdale Alumni from other classes that
the site be made into an Alumni website so it could be used by all former Meadowdale classes and
classmates to post information such as news, upcoming events and reunions.
The website has recently been discovered via forwarded E-mail that is directing people who grew up in
Dayton to the Dayton Nostalgia section of the site. This activity has pushed the site's hit count to an
average of 1,000 - 2,000 hits a day.
It is important to mention that although I am the one who created and maintain the site there are many
friends who have contributed content and helped me with the site, in particular, Sandy (Goodwin) Mast,
Jeff Angel, Julie (Brookey) Snyder and of course, Leonard Wagers. Leonard in fact, has never missed
sending out even one Friday Funny in the two years since he began sending them to me to post on the
site.
A big thank you is in order to all the above mentioned former classmates, along with the countless other
former Meadowdale classmates and individuals who have a love for Dayton and its surrounding area.
